About The Baffler

The Baffler is a generalist magazine of opinion, ideas, art, criticism, documents, fiction, poetry, and whatever else we feel like publishing. Founded in 1988 by Keith White and Thomas Frank to fight against the baffling jargon of cutting-edge academics, the magazine is now published by MIT Press three times a year, and edited by John Summers. Thomas Frank is founding editor and a regular contributor.
